Goodbye to Christmas

January 5, 2012

Today is the day, folks.  It is the twelfth day of Christmas and the final day that I keep my decorations up.  I will celebrate by eating the little Christmas pudding I have tucked away (with homemade hard sauce) and then tomorrow, the decorations come down.  But before we wave Au Revoir, I wanted to share a few photos with you from my Christmas at home in Yakima.  One last representation of the festivities to chew on before we move forward into the new year.

In no particular order…

The family around the fire:

Mom doing a bit of sewing

Sophia writing and drawing

Karl showing Mandi some awesome technology

Meanwhile, in front of the TV…

Dad and John happily 'tasting' beer

The decorative setting…

On the big day…

Keep the champagne flowing, right Mom?

Doug, in the kitchen making us delicious eggs!

Happy to have my cousins there too, even if they behave in such a manner 😉

It was a seriously wonderful holiday of doing everything and nothing.  Unfortunately, not all of my photos turned out and, as usual, I didn’t take enough (who can when there is good food to eat and champage to drink?), so some key people are missing from these photos (Grandma Hazel, Martha, Kathy, Kit), but there is always next year, right?
